This mid-century modern residence seamlessly integrates into the City of Ashland’s Lithia Park. The owners preliminary sketches and wishes were faceted into a design that complied with stringent lot limitations. The finished result is a stunning mix of textures and forms that blend together to feel timeless in its presence.

The tiered entry flows up gracefully to the front door, while the cantilevered balconies and long deep eaves create sanctuary. Each of these tiers is landscaped elegantly with mature plants that were meticulously placed, creating privacy from the streetscape.

The subterranean garage creates the disappearance of both driveway and cars from public view yet allows the residence’s views outward to the park and surrounding foothills. This garage opens to a well lit underground family room, wine cellar, guest suite, and laundry which all lend spaciousness to the house’s overall feel.

The main floor hosts the living, dining & kitchen along with an additional guest suite and micro office. A glass wall to the stairwell that flows through a glass floor panel showcasing the floating stairwell and wine cellar below. Folding doors open to an entire covered outdoor living, dining and kitchen area complete with Zen garden and water feature.

The upper floor inhabits the luxurious master suite with doors leading out to patios on both sides of the home for views of the park or for private lounging in a hot pool nestled within the hillside in the backyard. Stairs from this space lead to a hidden rooftop patio and garden that take in panoramic views of the surrounding hills.

This stunning home was the inception of the owners dreams and we were fortunate to work with such talented and inspirational clients to facilitate that dream.

The execution of this project could not have occurred at this elevated level of precision without Sean Downey as the general contractor.
