This backyard sauna successfully screens views to and from a nearby neighbor and becomes a playful element in a small backyard. The owners were interested in marking the end of their rear yard with a colorful “folly” and a therapeutic getaway. Taking the cues from nearby Douglas fir trees, we echoed a sense of security by creating a high “screening” structure with this steep pitched roof.
