We were approached by the former owner of the Standing Stone Brewery to design the interior layout of his new microbrewery that would be housed in a historic building in Medford. It was exciting to help create this open space, even with all the challenges of laying out an entire restaurant floor plan with current codes and egress.
The Old Dodge dealership is a beautiful structure with rounded corners and a myriad of garage door openings that bring in natural light and will be utilized for indoor/outdoor seating. The interior is mostly steel infrastructure and concrete and, while there were a few key exterior elements added, all had to have approval by the historic committee.
Interesting note is that the owner obtained a contractor’s license so he could oversee the construction work, thus keeping the costs down.
